It’s the theatre chosen for IAN MCKELLEN ON STAGE – who says ‘as part of the London Tour of my new solo show, I wanted to make my debut at the UK’s only full-time LGBT+ theatre.
It’s very social and would make a great place to pop in for a drink even if you are not seeing a show.īut you’d be crazy to miss Grindr the Opera! It’s a superb venue – all sleek, Scandic and industrial with a great bar (and staff!). Having enjoyed the theatre in all its three iterations – literally ‘above’ The Stag in Victoria with sticky pub carpets and flashing one arm bandits (no, not the punters) in Vauxhall, slightly off the beaten drag track and now centre stage on Albert Embankment.
Have to say I love everything Above the Stag presents.
